To prepare for FOSDEM 2027, list of tasks (please add stuff):

  • make sure we can deploy a fazantix box
  • add audio levels monitoring on fazantix boxes - @dexterlb has this almost implemented in a branch
  • split video-status and make it usable on the new boxes
  • update control.video to read from fazantix boxes
    • for video mixing
    • for audio mixing control
    • see what the devroom managers will be allowed to do
  • update streambackend to talk to fazantix boxes instead of voctops
  • update streamdump to talk to fazantix boxes
    • this way we lose the separate video/cam streams. investigate fail-overs
  • confcam user manual

Niceties:

  • move video ansible away from infrastructure
  • modularize video ansible somehow so other people can use it
  • flasher (@dexterlb)
  • make it possible to build disk images that can be flashed on the box
  • make a tool that you write on a flash drive that can flash the box. definitely call the tool flasher
  • confcam to stream over OMT
    • if not, captures + long hdmi
  • confcam user manual
